Our Story

From humble beginnings in Huntsville, where our journey began as Shorts Top Burgers, to becoming Xpress Burgers in Corpus Christi, our story has always been guided by faith, hard work, and one simple belief: put God first, keep moving forward, and never stop improving. Every chapter has taught us something—about food, consistency, perseverance, and what it takes to build something from the ground up. What started as a simple passion for making a better burger grew, step by step, into a much bigger vision. Today, Xpress Burgers is still built on those same values: God first, keep it simple, keep raising the standard, and never forget where it all began. We’ve come a long way, but we’re still just getting started.

Since 2017 — Where It All Began

In 2017, I was a college dropout from Sam Houston State University, unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. I had no big business plan and no clear direction. Looking back now, I believe God was already guiding my path. Then I got an opportunity to work in a kitchen for $8 an hour. It was hot, demanding work that many people didn’t want to do—but I loved it. What started as a simple job quickly became a passion. I wanted to learn, improve, and make a better burger every day. For the first time, I felt like I had found something I truly wanted to build. I believe that opportunity wasn’t an accident. God opened the door, and I walked through it. That small beginning in 2017 became the first chapter of what would one day become Xpress Burgers.

September 2019 — Shorts Top Burgers Opens

The name Shorts Top Burgers had been part of the dream since 2017. Over the next two years, we kept learning, experimenting, improving recipes, and working every day to make a better burger. In September 2019, that dream became real when we officially opened Shorts Top Burgers in Huntsville, Texas. For the first time, we had our own name, our own menu, our own customers, and a place to serve the burgers we had spent years working to improve. What started as an idea had become a real business, built on hard work, patience, passion, and the drive to keep getting better. Every day brought something new to learn, but one thing never changed—we wanted to serve a burger we could truly be proud of. Shorts Top Burgers was officially open, and the journey was only beginning.

A New Chapter — Xpress Burgers®

Years later, the journey brought us to Corpus Christi, Texas, where a new chapter began: Xpress Burgers®. We carried everything the early years had taught us—the importance of freshness, consistency, speed, quality, and taking pride in every order—and used those lessons to create something bigger, stronger, and more focused. This wasn’t about forgetting Shorts Top Burgers or leaving the past behind. It was about building on that foundation, growing from every lesson, and carrying the same passion for better burgers into a new city with a bigger vision. Xpress Burgers® became the next chapter of the same dream—a new name, a new beginning, and another step forward in the journey.
